S. Szymański

Szymański's 2026/27 season, read from the numbers

In 2026/27, S. Szymański saw limited action for Rennes in the Ligue 1: 4 appearances and 227 minutes, averaging 57 minutes per outing. The number that flatters him most is match rating — 409th of 978 midfielders and inside the top 42%.

Per 90 minutes that is 2.4 key passes per 90, 0.4 assists per 90 and 3.6 ball recoveries per 90 — the rate profile behind Szymański's totals. The profile is lopsided rather than complete: measured against midfielders, Szymański sits in the top 18% for shot conversion but only the top 54% for goalscoring.

Set against Szymański's own record, 2026/27 reads differently: he is playing far less than he once did — 717 minutes against 4950 at his peak; his average match rating has risen from 6.80 to 6.98 since 2025/26. Our records cover 2 seasons of Szymański's career, 2025/26 to 2026/27, across 3 clubs — Fenerbahçe, Rennes, Poland. In that time he has played 47 matches across 6 competitions, 2,359 minutes in all.

This is barely a sample: 227 minutes is about 3 full matches, and 673 short of the 900-minute floor our boards require. Every rate above should be read as a hint rather than a finding.

How these scores are built, and the minutes and rating floors a player must clear to appear on our boards, are set out in our methodology.
