Lamine Yamal

Yamal's 2026/27 season, read from the numbers

In 2026/27, Lamine Yamal was used in rotation for Barcelona in the La Liga: 7 appearances and 581 minutes, averaging 83 minutes per outing. Per 90 minutes that is 1.1 goals per 90, 5.0 shots per 90 and 44% of his shots on target — the rate profile behind Yamal's totals.

Yamal played 344 passes at 81% accuracy — 53.3 per 90, which is the volume that decides whether a side builds through him or around him. Carrying the ball, Yamal attempted 50 dribbles and completed 60% — 7.7 attempts per 90.

Set against Yamal's own record, 2026/27 reads differently: he has managed 16 in a season before, so 12 is well short of his own mark; he is playing far less than he once did — 1552 minutes against 2771 at his peak. Our records cover 5 seasons of Yamal's career, 2022/23 to 2026/27, all of it at Barcelona. In that time he has played 158 matches across 4 competitions, 11,549 minutes in all.

His best return on our records was 24 goals in 2025/26, from 45 appearances. He is 8 appearances into the current one. Yamal has 34 appearances in UEFA Champions League on our records, and the level holds either way, 0.43 per 90 domestically against 0.41 in Europe.

Yamal has reached 15 goals in a season 2 times, between 2024/25 and 2025/26 — a level held rather than found once. Away from his club, Yamal has 26 appearances for Spain on our records, scoring 7 — across Euro Championship - Qualification, World Cup - Qualification Europe and Euro Championship.

Yamal has won 9 senior honours on our records: UEFA European Championship (2 times), La Liga (3 times) and Copa del Rey (2 times), and 1 other competition. He has also finished runner-up 6 times, the nearest miss a UEFA Nations League final. Treat these rates carefully. At 581 minutes — roughly 6 full matches — Yamal is 319 short of our 900-minute qualifying floor, so he does not appear on the ranking boards: on a sample this size two good afternoons move a per-90 number further than a month of steady form.

How these scores are built, and the minutes and rating floors a player must clear to appear on our boards, are set out in our methodology.
