TackleZone

Live Football Analytics & Performance Rankings

TackleZone ranks attackers, midfielders, defenders, and goalkeepers with its own scores — TAS, TMS, TDS, and TGS — across Europe's top five leagues. These are TackleZone's model, not an official league or club ranking. Filter by position and role. Every job on the pitch has its own board.

How these rankings are built

A striker and a holding midfielder cannot be judged on the same numbers, so we do not try. Each position has its own score — TAS for attackers, TMS for midfielders, TDS for defenders and TGS for goalkeepers — and each is normalised inside its own pool. A defender’s 80 means near the top of the defenders, not 80% of a striker.

Eligibility is deliberately strict: 900+ minutes in the season block and a match rating of at least 6.8. That removes the cup cameos and the one-hot-month substitutes who distort any raw per-90 table, and it is why a player you expect to see may be missing. If the sample is too small to judge fairly, we leave them out rather than rank them on noise.

Scores are relative to the players who qualified this season, so they move as the season moves. Read them as where a player sits among his peers right now, not as a permanent grade.

The full method — every component weight, and an honest account of what each score misses — is set out in how we rate players.
