Larrubia's 2026/27 season, read from the numbers
In 2026/27, David Larrubia was used in rotation for Malaga in the La Liga: 7 appearances and 574 minutes, averaging 82 minutes per outing. Per 90 minutes that is 1.6 key passes per 90, 0.0 assists per 90 and 4.1 ball recoveries per 90 — the rate profile behind Larrubia's totals.
Carrying the ball, Larrubia attempted 45 dribbles and completed 36% — 7.1 attempts per 90. Set against Larrubia's own record, 2026/27 reads differently: he is playing far less than he once did — 574 minutes against 3542 at his peak; his average match rating has slipped from 7.30 to 6.48 since 2025/26.
Treat these rates carefully. At 574 minutes — roughly 6 full matches — Larrubia is 326 short of our 900-minute qualifying floor, so he does not appear on the ranking boards: on a sample this size two good afternoons move a per-90 number further than a month of steady form.
How these scores are built, and the minutes and rating floors a player must clear to appear on our boards, are set out in our methodology.
