Y. Vertessen

Vertessen's 2024/25 season, read from the numbers

In 2024/25, Y. Vertessen was used in rotation for Union Berlin in the Bundesliga: 18 appearances and 722 minutes, averaging 40 minutes per outing. Per 90 minutes that is 0.1 goals per 90, 2.4 shots per 90 and 26% of his shots on target — the rate profile behind Vertessen's totals.

Carrying the ball, Vertessen attempted 47 dribbles and completed 43% — 5.9 attempts per 90. Set against Vertessen's own record, 2024/25 reads differently: it is also the heaviest workload we have recorded for him, 722 minutes against a previous high of 594.

Our records cover 2 seasons of Vertessen's career, 2023/24 to 2024/25, across 3 clubs — PSV Eindhoven, Union Berlin, Red Bull Salzburg. In that time he has played 77 matches across 5 competitions, 3,393 minutes in all. Treat these rates carefully. At 722 minutes — roughly 8 full matches — Vertessen is 178 short of our 900-minute qualifying floor, so he does not appear on the ranking boards: on a sample this size two good afternoons move a per-90 number further than a month of steady form.

How these scores are built, and the minutes and rating floors a player must clear to appear on our boards, are set out in our methodology.
