Salah's 2026/27 season, read from the numbers

In 2026/27, Mohamed Salah was used in rotation for Trabzonspor in the Süper Lig: 6 appearances and 481 minutes, averaging 80 minutes per outing. Per 90 minutes that is 1.3 goals per 90, 3.2 shots per 90 and 59% of his shots on target — the rate profile behind Salah's totals.

Salah played 208 passes at 79% accuracy — 38.9 per 90, which is the volume that decides whether a side builds through him or around him. Set against Salah's own record, 2026/27 reads differently: he has managed 32 in a season before, so 8 is well short of his own mark; he is playing far less than he once did — 953 minutes against 3377 at his peak; his average match rating has risen from 6.93 to 7.63 since 2025/26.

Our records cover 11 seasons of Salah's career, 2015/16 to 2025/26, across 3 clubs — AS Roma, Liverpool, Egypt. In that time he has played 528 matches across 12 competitions, 42,740 minutes in all. His best return on our records was 45 goals in 2017/18, from 54 appearances. The current campaign has yet to give him a run.

Salah has 101 appearances in UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League on our records, and the level holds either way, 0.63 per 90 domestically against 0.63 in Europe. Salah has reached 15 goals in a season 10 times, between 2015/16 and 2024/25 — a level held rather than found once.

Away from his club, Salah has 45 appearances for Egypt on our records, scoring 24 — across Africa Cup of Nations, World Cup and World Cup - Qualification Africa.

How these scores are built, and the minutes and rating floors a player must clear to appear on our boards, are set out in our methodology.
