Lautaro Martínez

Martínez's 2026/27 season, read from the numbers

In 2026/27, Lautaro Martínez was used in rotation for Inter in the Serie A: 4 appearances and 324 minutes, averaging 81 minutes per outing. His standout number is goals — 4, 8th of 702 attackers and inside the top 1%.

Per 90 minutes that is 1.1 goals per 90, 4.4 shots per 90 and 38% of his shots on target — the rate profile behind Martínez's totals. The profile is lopsided rather than complete: measured against attackers, Martínez sits in the top 1% for goalscoring but only the top 29% for shot conversion.

Set against Martínez's own record, 2026/27 reads differently: he has managed 24 in a season before, so 13 is well short of his own mark; he is playing far less than he once did — 1664 minutes against 2668 at his peak. Our records cover 9 seasons of Martínez's career, 2018/19 to 2026/27, across 3 clubs — Racing Club, Inter, Argentina. In that time he has played 388 matches across 9 competitions, 27,215 minutes in all.

His best return on our records was 29 goals in 2022/23, from 58 appearances. He is 5 appearances into the current one. Martínez has 76 appearances in UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League on our records, and he is modestly more productive domestically - 0.64 per 90 domestically against 0.49 in Europe.

Martínez has reached 15 goals in a season 7 times, between 2019/20 and 2025/26 — a level held rather than found once. Away from his club, Martínez has 57 appearances for Argentina on our records, scoring 24 — across Copa America, World Cup and World Cup - Qualification South America.

On our positional score Martínez rates 69 out of 100, 11th of 126 qualified players — inside the top 9%. Relative to what each component is worth, his strongest is shot conversion.

How these scores are built, and the minutes and rating floors a player must clear to appear on our boards, are set out in our methodology.
