Thiago

Thiago's 2025/26 season, read from the numbers

In 2025/26, Thiago was close to ever-present for Brentford in the Premier League: 38 appearances and 3295 minutes, averaging 87 minutes per outing. Per 90 minutes that is 0.6 goals per 90, 1.8 shots per 90 and 64% of his shots on target — the rate profile behind Thiago's totals.

Thiago played 628 passes at 69% accuracy — 17.2 per 90, which is the volume that decides whether a side builds through him or around him. Carrying the ball, Thiago attempted 53 dribbles and completed 55% — 1.4 attempts per 90.

Set against Thiago's own record, 2025/26 reads differently: his 22 goals beats anything in the 2 earlier seasons we hold for him (best before: 1); it is also the heaviest workload we have recorded for him, 3295 minutes against a previous high of 443; his average match rating has risen from 6.69 to 6.94 since 2024/25. Discipline is part of the picture for Thiago: 7 bookings in 38 appearances, one every 5.4 games.

Our records cover 3 seasons of Thiago's career, 2024/25 to 2026/27, all of it at Brentford. In that time he has played 55 matches across 3 competitions, 4,109 minutes in all. No season on his record beats this one for goals: 25, against a previous best of 2 in 2026/27.

How these scores are built, and the minutes and rating floors a player must clear to appear on our boards, are set out in our methodology.
